Not out to embarrass anyone. We only own one sucks version of our domain (namely UpMarketDNsSucks.com) and we registered that many moons ago. Anyone who wants to reg any variations of that one please feel free to go ahead. That was the one we wanted. The rest, quite simply don’t bother me in the slightest.
I just did a random sample of high profile domain registrars and brokers and domainers and it’s apparent already that there are a lot of gripe sites and vendettas out there – for whatever reason! Some are genuine complaint sites and some heavily feature a certain genre of adult porn, as ever do you own research 
Thing is defensive regs are a great idea (assuming the sucks version is available to hand register) but buying your “sucks” from the current owner smacks of blackmail to me but there are a good few companies / individuals who chose to take this option, though it wouldn’t interest me personally for any “sucks” names others own.
On a totally unrelated topic I’m so glad I turned the comment facility off on this blog many moons ago. Just checked and there are over 11,000 pending comments from when the comments facility was on! Way too busy to process even 500 of those.
